NetScribePros New Look And Feel

Miscellaneous No Comments »

With the recent spur in activity and the new business plan I’m launching I felt it was time to change the look and feel of this blog. That process has now been finished with the creation of a new logo. The logo design is dead-simple and that’s just the way I want it.

The future of NetScribePro is at least 3 IM related posts each week and a new free report at least every two weeks. I’m trying to balance my ambitions with what’s reasonably possible. I feel this plan will do just that. If you check out the free reports page you will notice that there are no reports yet. That will change in a few days as I’m currently putting the finishing touches on my free Twitter traffic report.

These free reports will be short and sweet. There’s no need to force you to read through 100+ pages if I can give you all you need in 7 pages right?

The basic idea behind these reports is that I will spend some time gathering information about a specific topic and then put the main strategies together in a report you will be able to get just by signing up for my list. After you have signed up you will automatically be notified every time a new report is released.

You can’t sign up yet, but if this sounds like something you really need to get your hands on check in on this blog later in the week. You can also follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/mikehnielsen I’ll be sure to post a tweet when the report is available.

The Not So Shocking Reasons Why Twitter Is A Must For Your Blog

General Internet Marketing No Comments »

Twitter is one of the most useful tools for driving traffic to your blog, period! Twitter is an excellent blog promotion tool and the great thing about it is that it will also allow you to help other people. Although helping others may not be the main motive for promoting your blog it certainly feels pretty good. In this article, I show you what you can do with your blog on Twitter.

So your ulterior motive is off course to drive traffic to your blog. That’s fine. Nothing wrong with that, but you have to think a bit about how you go about doing it. Twitter is a community and it’s important that you actually have something valuable to share. That’s easier if you follow people who are actually interested in your niche. You also need to stay in touch with your people on Twitter. It’s no good only being an active part of the Twitter community whenever you have something new at your blog to share.

Still, the goal is to promote your blog. There are many different things you can do when promoting your blog. First of all, put the link to your blog in your public Twitter profile. While you’re at it and if it’s within your resources it’s well worth it to show your blog address on your Twitter background image. People can’t click it, but if something sounds interesting you’d be surprised to know how many people are actually willing to type a url into the address bar themselves. Whenever, you create a blog post you should off course tweet that post as soon as possible. There might not be enough room to tweet the entire URL so you might need an URL shortening service, but that’s ok. You’re not posting your blog posts for SEO purposes, but solely to drive people directly from twitter to your blog. If you don’t have anything to say yourself don’t be afraid to share other people’s tweets. Although that might not initially help you, people will be more inclined to share your stuff if you are willing to share their stuff.

Along those lines, you should focus your tweets on helping people. They say that you have to give to get and that is certainly true when it comes to Twitter. If your tweets generally help people with their questions they are far more inclined to click your links. When you run a blog it’s fair to assume that your blog posts are generally advice or information that people in your niche, your followers, would find helpful. So why not use a plugin to automatically tweet your latest blog post? If you’re using Wordpress I know there are about a gazillion out there that will help you do just that. The important thing in your posts, however, is still to be as helpful as you possibly can in everything you tweet. If you make sure of that you are far more incline to get traffic from your tweets.

So, are you ready to use Twitter with your blogs. There are many incentives to do so and Twitter is a perfect match for just about any blog. The key things to remember is to be actively involved, be sociable and be helpful. Have fun Twitter-blogging.

Twitter is an awesome tool for your blog. There are far more great things you can do with your blog in Twitter than I have been able to share here. Go to http://blog.gettwittertrafficnow.com for more information on how to use Twitter

3 Quick Questions You Want To Get Right If You’re Promoting Your Blog On Twitter

General Internet Marketing No Comments »

If you’re promoting your blog on Twitter, I have a little quiz you should take to find out if you’re promoting your blog effectively. You see, it’s not enough to just promote your blog it’s important that you go about it the right way. If you can answer each of these 3 quick questions correctly you’re definitely on the right track.

When I drive traffic to Twitter I:
a) Follow as any people as possible.
b) Follow people in my niche and take an active part in the community.
c) I don’t play an active part in the twitter community.

If your answer was A you made the wrong choice. B is the correct answer in this instance. Having a lot of followers is great, but to people outside your niche your tweets might seem like spam. That’s one of the reasons you really want your followers to be targeted to your niche. In addition it’s very important that you are active on Twitter. Twitter is an online community and to earn peoples’ trust and respect you need to play an active part. I’m currently following over 2000 people so naturally I can’t stay in touch with all of them. The key is to check your replies at least once a day. Make sure you reply back to those who mention you.

I promote my blog on Twitter by:
a) Making sure that there is a link to my blog on my profile page.
b) Constantly tweeting the link to my blog.
c) Talking about MY blog constantly.

This time A is the correct choice. Your profile page is the best place to put a link to your blog. Not only will a lot of people take a look at your profile page, but it’s also the only place you can really put a full-length link on Twitter. Let’s face it 140 characters is not a lot if you want to post a useful message along with a link.

While you’re at it, you should consider getting a custom background. If you do that make sure your domain name is visible on your background. It’s not clickable, but some people will type in the URL and go to your blog.

It’s also important that you post a tweet with a link to your latest blog posts. I highly recommend using a plugin like WP to Twitter to do that if you’re using Wordpress. Don’t just post links to your own blog though. If you do that the best-case scenario is that people will see it as being slightly selfish, the worst case scenario is that it will look like spam. Mix in as many other useful posts as possible with the tweets about your blog posts to maintain a good balance.

The tweets I post are:
a) Always marketing related.
b) Helpful and informative.
c) Not answering peoples’ questions.

This is a really important question to get right. I really hope your answer is B. Being helpful and informative is the best long term Twitter strategy I can think of. While you’re spending some time looking through your replies, do a couple of niche related searches to see if people have questions about your niche that you might be able to answer. This is a great way to build a good relationship with your niche. It’s also a great inspiration for new blog posts. So, it really serves more than just one purpose.

If you didn’t get all the questions right don’t worry about it. The important thing is that you now realize there is a right way and a wrong way to go about promoting your blog on Twitter. At this point, you should go out an implement this strategy on Twitter and when you’re ready for more go to http://www.gettwittertrafficnow.com

6 Step Twitter Traffic System

General Internet Marketing No Comments »

There is no doubt that Twitter is one of the hottest items on the internet right now. For Internet Marketers, it is also a great opportunity to expand your business. However, if you’re new to Twitter you might be wondering where to start. That’s why I’ve put together a simple 6 step approach you can take to start getting some great results on Twitter. Let’s get started!

1. Follow People In Your Niche

If you know anything about marketing on Twitter you have most likely heard that it’s ultra-important to have a ton of followers. That’s true, but I have a slight twist on that. If at all possible, you should make an effort to get targeted followers instead of just getting a ton of followers. The best way to start doing that is to start following people in your niche. Many of the people you choose to follow will follow you back.

2. Provide Quality Content To Your Followers

Now that you have your followers you might be thinking that it would be a great idea to start churning out posts with links to your promotions. Don’t! Let me put it this way. If you go into a bar and start kissing the first girl you find attractive without talking to her first what do you think is going to happen? That’s right she’s probably going to slap you in the face. So you have to show your followers that you deserve their intention. You do this by posting links to content that is relevant to them. Make sure it’s quality content. The girl in the bar is unlikely to kiss you if you throw cheesy lines at her. It’s the same with your Twitter followers.

3. Search For Questions People Have About Your Niche

So you’ve built a relationship with your followers and feel that they trust you by now. So now is the right time to send those promotional tweets right? Wrong!

At this point, you should start making some searches on Twitter where people are asking questions that are relevant to your niche.

4. Create Content Answering The Questions You Found

Now that you have a bunch of questions you need to provide some high quality answers. so to this you need to create a blog post, an article or a video that answers the question. Make sure that it’s a useful answer that people will get a lot of value from. In addition, make sure that you plug your product at the end of whatever type of content it is you provide.

5. Answer The Questions People Have About Your Niche

Finally, and you may have guessed this. It is time to send a reply to the user who asked the question. Make sure it’s a reply and not a direct message. A reply will show up on all your followers’ timelines as well as the timeline of the user who asked the question. That should ensure that it won’t only be the user who asked the question who clicks on the link in your answer.

6. Rinse And Repeat

The final step is to start over and do it all again, at least from step 3. You should, however, continue to gather targeted followers.

In the long run, you shouldn’t lock yourself into only one Twitter strategy though. Go and take a look at http://www.gettwittertrafficnow.com to get advanced Twitter strategies you can apply today!

Get Twitter Traffic – A Non-Gurus Guide

General Internet Marketing No Comments »

Twitter is the talk of the town these days. Do you realize that it is also a wonderful opportunity to drive some extra traffic to your website? Even if you’re not a guru Twitter has a lot of potential. However, it’s important that you know what kind of followers you need and how you use these followers to get as much targeted traffic from Twitter as Possible.

So, what do you need to know as an internet marketer?

First of all, it’s important that you realize exactly why Twitter is such a great option for traffic. Let me ask you a question. How many websites do your hear mentioned more often than Twitter these days? I bet it’s not many. It’s important that you really manage to take advantage of the immense popularity Twitter is experiencing right now and use it to drive traffic to your website. As an internet marketer you need to occasionally reassess your strategy and this is one of those times.

If you have a Twitter account with a decent amount of followers you are probably getting a lot of tweets directing you straight to a sales page. That is the wrong way to go about it and it’s something you have to think about from the moment that you start building a following. You need to first ensure that you build a targeted following. That the people you are following are actually likely to be interested in what you have to say about the niche you’re in. The best way to ensure this is to start following people who are already in your niche. A lot of these people will follow you back and help you build a highly targeted following.

It’s extremely important that you don’t start pushing your marketing messages to your followers right off the bat. Your followers don’t like being sent directly to a sales page anymore than you do. That’s why you should always make sure to provide high quality content to your followers. Great source for this type of content is stufftotweet.com, alltop.com, Digg and Google Alerts. The great thing about a lot of this content is that it is pretested.

However, posting tweets to these articles won’t put money in your bank account will it?

The next thing you should do is to create an article or a blog post that people in your niche are likely to enjoy. In this article or blog post you will then post a link to your sales or squeeze page. In this content piece, it would be a good idea to spend a paragraph or so to explain why it would be in the readers’ interest to purchase your product. Just like you do in any other article, do focus on providing good stuff though.

There is more to getting Twitter traffic than this. It doesn’t take an internet marketing guru to implement this simple strategy. If you’re serious about using Twitter in your marketing. However, you will need more advanced strategies, which are available to you at http://www.gettwittertrafficnow.com So go there right now and get started with Twitter.

Twitter is the talk of the town these days. However, you may be wondering exactly why it is such a great idea to use twitter for traffic. So in this article I will try to explain a couple of the major questions people have about using twitter for traffic. First of all, I’ll try to explain why it is such a good idea to use twitter to generate traffic. Another question I’ll be answering is, whether it is better to have a ton of followers, or slightly fewer, but targeted followers. And finally, you probably want to know exactly what you need to do to get targeted twitter traffic.

I want to get twitter traffic, but where do I start?

The first and probably most important part of your twitter traffic strategy is to get a huge targeted following. If you want to get real value from your twitter traffic, you don’t want to just get a huge following. What you want is, as many followers as possible, but targeted followers. The first thing you need to do is to follow people in your niche. First of all, this will tell you a lot about what’s hot in your niche right now. Secondly, these people will all be potential buyers of your products. So these are the people you will eventually want to drive to your website.

How do I turn my followers into traffic?

As we talked about in the previous question, it’s all about getting targeted traffic from your followers. The first part of this process was to get a highly targeted following. However, you can’t start promoting your offers to these people right off the bat. If you intend to get any kind of long-term value from your followers and the traffic you get from twitter, you need to provide value to your people. That means you have to post tweets that are valuable to them. In other words, provide them with solid information about your niche. After a while, you’ll have gained their trust.

How do I direct traffic to my website?

Well, you have shown your followers that you provide valuable information. That makes them far more likely to trust you and the posts you make. So at this point, you’ll start looking for questions people are asking about your niche. The next step is to create a blog post or an article that provides a useful answer to their question. In your blog post or article, you will provide a link to your offer. And then you will simply post tweets containing a link to your blog post or article.

Saved Searches On Twitter

General Internet Marketing No Comments »

Just a quickie here. Actually it’s more of a teaser for a free report I’ll be releasing this weekend.

I’d like to ask you if you’re using Twitter to drive traffic to your website?

If not, then why not? Is it because you’re not on Twitter at all or is it because you simply don’t know how to use Twitter for traffic? If it’s the former get go get on Twitter right now. In fact setup an account and start following me at http://twitter.com/mikehnielsen I’ll return the favor by following you back. If it’s because you don’t know how to drive traffic from Twitter let me share a very simple approach.

Saved Twitter Searches

Did you realize that you can save your searches on Twitter?

This may not seem significant, but trust me this is an obscenely powerful feature. Let me show you an example of a few saved searches I have on Twitter.

Searches saved on Twitter

Searches saved on Twitter

So, instead of having to type in my chosen search phrase every time I want to perform that exact Twitter search I simply click the search link. I can save as many searches as I want, which means that I can keep tabs on what’s going on in those specific areas with a single click of my mouse button.

See the power in that?

A Simple Twitter Traffic Trick

If you have a product in a specific niche, say Twitter traffic, as I have in this instance then knowing what’s going on with that on Twitter is immensely powerful. Every single time someone is asking a question about Twitter traffic I’ll know. All I have to do then is to reply to their question, and include a link to my landing page.

Presto!!

Instant traffic!!

Not all of these visitors will buy my product, but since they are very targeted visitors the odds are better than average. For a more detailed description of this strategy and how it fits into the greater scheme of things watch out for the free report I’m releasing this weekend.

I really should come up with a cool name for it though :-)
