Three things have led me to write this blog post today. A blog post with a somewhat weird title I’ll grant you, but this post is about something that’s really been on my mind today. First of all, you probably know that I’m participating in the 3rd HAHD challenge. You can find more information about my progress in the sidebar to the right. Secondly, I recently declared that I would take a week off to focus on developing an article writing application. And finally a friend of mine has run into some problems getting her articles approved recently.

As you may know I’m participating in the HAHD challenge. You can see my progress in the sidebar on the right. So far I have 18 articles submitted and approved for the challenge, which puts me on track as of today. However, I’ve decided to take a week off from writing further articles in order to speed up the process!

Blogging is a funny thing!

I have written blog posts based on keywords, I have used rewritten PLR and then occasionally I have just written about something I found interesting. I get a lot of traffic to my keyword based articles, decent traffic to my rewritten PLR articles, but the third category continues to blow me away.

As some of you may know I do have a day job, which under normal circumstances take up a fair bit of my time, however, we’re going through an insanely busy period right now. That unfortunately means far less time to work on my reports or even write blog posts. So, the lack of updates on this blog recently is simply down to lack of time.

I have a lot of great stuff in the pipeline though.

Many bloggers are so focused on how to make money from their blog that they tend to forget that they actually need someone to read their posts!

I have been as guilty of this as anyone!

It’s tempting though and blogs have the potential to be great money makers so why not take advanage of that? Well, if your blog is so damn “salesy” that nobody cares to read it you’re not going to be making any money from it at all! Having said that, there probably will be an ad in or around this post, but ads are not the problem here. The problem here is writing blog posts simply with the intent of making sales or getting adsense clicks. In many cases blog posts written with this intent in mind will be worthless. I’ve decided to turn NetScribePro into a DoFollow blog. Initially this will be on a trial basis. I have decided to make this move because I would love to have more people making comments on the blog. The logic is that getting a DoFollow link might encourage more people to comment.

I realize that this will force me to be a lot more critical when approving comments, but for the next month or so I will give it a chance.

I just purchased this product called “Nasty Dirty Money.”

What Piqued my interest initially was the section about ebooks. Although I will take a good look at all aspects of the product the ebook section will definitely be the one I’ll take a close look at first!
