It’s Been One Of Those Weeks!

Miscellaneous No Comments »

Writing isn’t a full-time occupation for me yet and this week the day job has been absolutely crazy. I’ve put in more overtime this week than I have the last month, but you know what? That’s OK. Sometimes you have to put in an extra effort to reach your goals. The only thing that isn’t alright though is that I haven’t posted any new blog posts since the 5th. This blog post is merely a short rant, but I promise I’ll do something special for you this weekend.

Organize Your Creative Thoughts With Mind Maps

Miscellaneous, Recommendations, Writing No Comments »

Whether you’re writing an article, a blog post, an ebook or sales copy you have to organize your thoughts before you actually start writing anything. I’m fortunate enough to be on “7 Day Ebook” writer Jim Edwards mailing list. Recently he has started a new column about cool sites with resources that can be really helpful.

Greetings And Salutations

Miscellaneous No Comments »

2008 was an eventful year. Not only did I release my first product (30 Minute Review) I also launched several websites and even more projects that was never finished. I made a resolution for 2009 not to leave any projects unfinished (as it often is with resolutions I’ve already broken this one quite a few times).

Review Site Case Study Part I – Initial Research

Miscellaneous 1 Comment »

So the first part and what I’ve done today is some initial research. Basically the first thing I had to do was to pick a niche. Picking a niche for a review site is somewhat different than picking a niche for a blog or a product. I you’re creating a new blog you have to take a good look at what you like to do as well as what’s hot. That’s not necessarily the truth when you’re creating a review site.

When picking a niche for a review site you can pretty much focus on what you believe is a hot niche.

I initially considered doing a review site in the renewable energy niche. That niche is hot right now because of the financial crisis as well as the increasing gas prices. However, I found it a bit too “scammy” for my own personal taste. If you disagree on that point by all means go for that niche.

What I picked in the end was the good old web site creation niche. It’s a niche that will not wane as long as the internet exists and in my opinion it forms a great basis for a more permanent review site.

Having picked a niche I went to the Clickbank Marketplace and took a good look at the products. There are a great variety of products available, but I decided to keep my review site as focused as possible. I have initially divided the products I want to promote in 4 categories.

  • Graphics
  • Multimedia
  • Web Site Creation
  • Themes

At first I’ll focus my review site on the Web Site Creation Category. However, I’ll probably expand to include the other 3 categories in the future. In those 4 categories I found 22 products that I want to promote.

After finding my niche and my products I went to Google Adwords keyword tool to find some basic “desperate customer” keywords in these 4 categories. By desperate I mean keywords with phrases like “how to”, “tutorial”, or others along those lines in them. You don’t ever want keywords including the word “free”. Thase searches are made by freebie seekers who are unlikely to make a purchase.

Get An Inside Look At The Creation Of A Profitable Review Site For Free

Miscellaneous No Comments »

I’m in the process of preparing all the great material for my upcoming profitable review site course. As I mentioned in my last blog post I wanted to give away a case study as a bonus. So I’m working on that right now.

In fact, I’ll be working on that during this entire week. First let me tell you a bit about it. The premise is this: build and market a profitable review site in 7 days (while still working an 8 hours a day; day job). Basically, I’ll have 1-3 hours a day to work on this project. So best case scenario is that I have a total of 21 hours to make it happen.

I quite frankly don’t know if it can be done, but either way I’m pretty sure the experiences of this will be invaluable. I know I can write at least 2 reviews an hours as per the “30 Minute Review” method, so that’s the least of my concerns.

What worries me is traffic building and actually making the first sale within this 7 day period. Fortunately I’ve got a few traffic tricks up my sleeve, but it’s still going to be a tight race. That’s the plan anyway, but I told you you could get an inside look for free right?

Well, I’ll keep you updated on this very blog. The first post will be made tomorrow. I’ll tell you what I’ve done so far and what the results are. I’ll do that every day until next Sunday. That alone should make for some very valuable information.

I’ll also be putting all my experiences together in a case study that Ill make available for free to those who sign up for my review site creation course (still working on a better name for it :-) )

Review Site Madness

Miscellaneous No Comments »

Two days ago I told you I’d offer some more details about my review writing course so here it is. Basically were talking about a three month course on creating and marketing a profitable review site. Creating a review site and getting it online is pretty easy, but if you don’t do it right it’s not going to earn you a living. This three month course will take you by the hand and show you exactly what to do.

I was planning a pre-launch this weekend, but due to slight login issues with PayPal I’ve decided to push it back a week. So the pre-launch won’t happen until sometime next week. I have another reason to postpone it as well. I’m going to challenge myself on this one. I’ll try to set up and promote a review site within one week!

I’ll put those experiences into a case study that course members will be getting as a free bonus.

However, you’re probably still interested in knowing a bit more about the structure of the course. Well, as I said it will last for three months. Each week there will be at least two lessons. So that’s at least 24 lessons. In addition to that there will be several bonuses, but I’ll tell you about those next week.

I will also tell you a bit more about the structure of the lessons during the weekend. Right now I’m busy working on a lot of the material for the course. I can tell you it’s going to be awesome!

Review Sites – Easy Money or…?

Miscellaneous No Comments »

It’s no big secret that Review Sites have become one of the hottest days to make money in the Internet marketing field. That’s also the reason why the first NetScribePro product was “30 Minute Review” which is still for sale for just $7 by the way. It is a product dedicated to the review writing process. I’m happy to say that it has been received very well.

There have been a few questions though.

People have asked many questions about the rest of the process. You see there’s more to a successful review site than simply writing the review.

You have to set it up. You have to create the actual HTML files. You have to pick the right domain name. You have to promote it. I could go on for quite a while.

Many, many questions have been asked about these topics. Too many to let them go unanswered.

Here’s the deal. I’ve decided to set up a review site creation course for you. It’s not going to be free, but it’s definitely going to be awesome. The course will start on November 3rd, but you’ll be able to sign up from this Saturday. I will literally walk you through every step of creating a successful review site.

I will not go into more detail today, but tomorrow I’ll be revealing a bit more about the course. So stay tuned!

Do You Hate Writing HTML?

Miscellaneous No Comments »

So do you consider writing HTML a chore?

If you do these you really shouldn’t worry because even professional web developers get sick of HTML on a daily basis. So if you’re not a professional web developer it’s no wonder that you don’t like writing HTML. Fortunately there are plenty of ways to avoid writing HTML code yourself. you can use premade templates or you can even outsource all the HTML word that you need done. The problem is that even if you choose one of those options. At some point you’re probably going to have to edit some HTML code yourself.

So what do you do?

My guess is that you’re going to put your faith in Google. You’ll probably be typing in the sentence describing the problem you’re facing. However, if you are deliberately trying to avoid HTML that is probably caused by one of two reasons.

  1. You think it’s boring
  2. You think it’s too technical

Well, thinking it’s boring is something that’s hard to overcome. I’m not saying it can’t be done but, learning to enjoy something that you’re not enjoying is never going to be easy. however that may come a time when you’ll have to bite the bullet and dig in.

If you think it’s too technical, you know, what? Searching Google for answers is unlikely to help you. I love Google, but it very easily gets very hard to find exactly what you’re looking for. Even if you find the answer you’re looking for chances you’ll think it’s way too technical.

So how would you like a guide that shows you exactly how to create an HTML template from scratch. without getting into a lot of technical stuff!

I realize that if you are not really looking to get into HTML it might not be easy to see why you would want to learn to create an HTML template from scratch. however that guide like this would also give you the necessary knowledge to correct the simple mistakes you encounter a day-to-day basis.

So, if this has piqued your interest. you are probably wondering where you can get that guide.

That’s a problem, because I don’t know of a guide like this. That is except for the one I’m working on right now. It’s a guide that will be available in the form of a PDF file, and I expect to to be released around or right after the weekend.

NetScribePro template system teaser

Miscellaneous No Comments »

This is a 12 minute video showing exactly how easy it is to create you own unique review site template with the NetScribePro template system.

This video is part of the product I’m planning to release shortly. In fact I really wanted to release it today. However, I’ve had some issues with the premade templates. The simple truth is I do not want to release a product I’m not perfectly happy with.

I really do hope you enjoy this video and let you look forward to  the product I’ll be releasing. I really hope that the NetScribePro template system will be exactly what you’re looking for in your efforts to create your own unique templates for your review sites.

However, as I said, in the meantime I really do hope you enjoy this video.
